Vacation is a great way to relax and forget about the cares of the world, so don’t let a locked debit card or missed loan payment get in the way of your fun! This summer, give yourself peace of mind and keep your money safe with these travel tips:
Notify us of your summer travel plans in advance.
Protecting your finances is a top priority for us, so when your debit card is accessed by an unfamiliar vendor in an unusual location, our system will automatically flag the transaction and temporarily shut down your card until you confirm whether or not the transaction was fraudulent. By notifying us of the location and dates of your travel, we can make a note in our system of your plans, allowing you to freely use your card without interruption.
Download and sign into the Bank of Bozeman mobile app.
Gone are the days of having to physically come into the bank or even checking on your account via your desktop computer. Through the Bank of Bozeman mobile app, we make it easy to monitor your account from anywhere you have internet access. Through the app you can view your account status, make transfers, and even pay bills.
Manage last minute travel plans in the app.
Sometimes plans change unexpectedly. If your travel itinerary changes last minute, no worries! You can update your location and additional travel plans in the Bank of Bozeman mobile app with no hassle, making it easier for you live in the moment.
Instantly turn off your card via the app if it is lost or stolen.
It’s happened to the best of us – you put your debit card in your pocket for a quick errand, then Poof! it disappears into thin air. Getting a replacement card while away from home isn’t an option, so we’ve equipped our mobile app to allow you to temporarily turn off your debit card. This allows you to immediately turn off the card for transactions. If the card is found, you can easily turn it back on in the app and resume use like normal. If it has been officially or stolen, cancel it immediately by calling the bank at 406-587-5626. If it is after hours, you can still report your card lost by calling 1-800-472-3272.
If you have additional concerns about your accounts while you’re away this summer, give us a call at 406-587-5626 and one of our Financial Services Representatives will be happy to address your concerns.
